Dr. Mingyen Tan

Ming Yen Tan has almost 20 years of international business and corporate coaching experiences. He has dedicated a large portion of his career to executive coaching, coach training, management consulting, and corporate training. His approach focuses on inspiring new perspectives through introducing and widening of an individual’s viewpoint, rather than changing their perceptions.
Ming Yen’s professional experience includes a career as senior trainer and coach for a pioneer coach training company in Asia that works with corporations and their people to re-engineer the talent pool to make human capital the most valuable asset a company can have. He has also worked as centre manager for an outdoor challenge centre that targets at stretching and building participants’ sense of self- confidence and positive attitude towards workplace obstacles or new responsibilities.
Furthermore, Ming Yen is an adjunct professor for various well known universities in mainland China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Ireland. He lectures in a variety of academic modules, including strategic planning, leadership principles and practices, operations, research methods and all areas of corporate financial management.
Ming Yen is awarded Doctor of Business Administration with University of Newcastle, Australia. He earned his MBA (focusing on Strategy & Planning) and Bachelor of Commerce (focusing on Accounting & Finance and Management) from Deakin University, Australia. He is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (Australia), Chartered Management Accountant (UK). Ming Yen is certified in several psychometric insturments and mdoels. He is awarded the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential by The International Coach Federation (USA).
